What does it mean to be a Christian? *

Salvation is a free gift from God for sinners. It cannot be earned or purchased. A sinner can access this free gift through faith alone in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross as a sacrifice for sinners who deserve God's righteous judgement. If God is drawing your heart to this truth, then today is the day to trust in Him and follow Him! Confession, repentance and faith

I confess that, according to Scripture, Jesus Christ is God, and that the Father sent Him into the world to save me.

I confess that I am a sinner, both willfully and by the fallen nature inherited from Adam and Eve and deserve to be separated from God eternally.

I believe that Jesus received, on my behalf, the wrath of God and the punishment that I deserved for my sins against a Holy and loving God.

I repent (turn away) from all my sins today, not in my own strength, but through simple childlike faith in Christ who died and rose again for me.

I'm ready to follow Jesus today as a disciple and to begin to grow in my faith daily with other believers (the church)
