Joel Littlefield is the lead pastor at New City Church in Bath, ME. He has been married to Callie for 15 years and together they have 4 children. Joel has a passion for preaching God’s Word and considers it among his primary functions as the lead pastor, along with casting and leading the overall vision for this local body.
Joel received the free gift of salvation through Christ when he was 17 years old. He soon after began teaching the Bible to Junior High students at a Calvary Chapel in central Maine. God’s grace really began to come alive to him in 2009. It was at that time when a burden for church planting was placed upon his heart along with a real passion for preaching. Joel and Callie have served in various ways in the local church, from worship teams, to children’s teachers and church-plant helpers. Twice, Joel served in an assistant pastoral role before moving to Bath in 2016 to plant and pastor New City Church.
“My family is not perfect. We do not have a perfect marriage or perfect kids. We are on a journey every day, like everyone else, to discover God’s magnificent grace that is sufficient for all things. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Our joy is made full in Christ. Our satisfaction is not found in our own merits, our earthly citizenship or material possessions, but in the perfect blood of Christ which was shed for us. I am humbled and grateful that God has called me to plant and pastor New City Church. And it is my heart’s desire that all who come to be a part of our Church family would see Jesus as most glorious of all.” – Joel
